"About fucking time," came a muted response, slow and tired. Still, the door didn't immediately open. "Which one is it, though? Is it food? Please tell me it's food. I am wholly uninterested in whatever that new "Jackal" station produces for the security grids..."

Sinau hadn't picked up any boxes. Whispering quiet 'sorry's as she held her PADD out. Looking like she was taking grasp of the logs and keeping everything in order. Like she was marking off a checklist. Look closer though and she was fiddling with and trying to find security. Her PADD was boosted for work like this, linking up to technology, but she'd need clearance to actually break anything. For now the woman mapped out the cameras and digital locks in the blue prints. She trotted along though, looking at everybody and committing them to memory, trying to keep a cool head and breath easily. That's when the Romulan noticed. Where they going to the Warden's quarters? This could be good, if she could somehow swipe access from the warden then she'd have free access, but doing so was a different story. She shifted nervously with each step. (edited)

Oh... right, they had an insider to help them, or several at least. That'd make things easier. If she can just get the codes then Sinau could probably remotely set off systems while she made her way around later. Maybe? She wasn't fully there when they had planned and was re-briefed after they had finished. Mostly just the loose plan. The presence and reminded of friendly operatives calmed the woman's nerves, and she made her way forward. Checking to see if the room had cameras or wires, something like that, though the wardens office quarters was probably one of, if not the least monitored place in this shithole.

For a brief moment, Maiek wasn't sure how to act around these people. So he walked around them instead - with a slight limp to his gait - and just led them further into the quarters, away from any potential prying ears at the door. "Talk me through your further actions. I'm holding the fort here for now, but I have intel. Good, bad, shit variety, anything you need to get these poor people out of here."

Sinau was quick to remark knowing that there was no bugs in the room, judging by how he spoke at least. "What level of clearance can you give us?" She inquired. Getting deep access was the only way to break security and defenses. Getting that on her tech was Invaluable. The data shouldn't be traceable if done correctly. They had to be quick, this wasn't some big explosive exit. They had to be tricky and a lot burdened they shoulders of Sinau and the other engineers on this. Perfection was almost necessary, which was, in one word, terrifying. (edited)

He blanked at the sudden amount of questions, and then promptly reached for his pocket to fish out a cigarette. Baby need smoko. Or to just have the damn thing between his teeth. "We've been worming our way into the security for these past few days. I personally don't have clearance high enough to swing around there properly, so I've been playing the nuisance role instead to distract everyone," that might explain the limp. "The rest of our guys managed to find access to the prison-wide communication system, as well as security details like cameras, prison doors, and outside security measures. Do keep in mind that shutting it all off at once will be immediately noticed." He nodded to Garcia, then: "It also includes the by-cell locations of your people. Eighteen souls, divided into three rooms on all three levels of the prison. The lower you go, the colder these levels get. I will give you a brief rundown of the situation up to date, as far as we know it." Maiek pulled out a PADD - the whatever is the local equivalent to one, anyways, and began his listing: "I will start by saying that there have been no casualties. But to be frank, we got lucky - just today we've had one close call. Some of yours have already sustained injuries, some more severe than others. Medical assistance has been limited, and... I apologize for that." divider
11:46
He paused to clear his throat. "First level cell, O-113. V'hgai, Lawson, tr'Lareth, Aria, M'Kahl, Hensley. The android is damaged but functional, Lawson got his translator removed but is awake and alert, and tr'Lareth is, well... stabilized. The rest got bruises and lacerations." "Second level cell, O-213. Allen, t'Mrian, Bishop, Tavek, Dezyim 5, Castelo. The Vorta was operated on, I am... unsure what happened. Rumors are varied. Castelo might've been there to see it, I am unsure on that detail - he does have a single stab wound in the shoulder area, though. Allen received a concussion and broken ribs, but some medical equipment had been provided for that and he was reported to be awake and alert. The android had been electrocuted. The rest seem to be mostly untouched. Physically, that is." "Third level cell, O-313. Kehal, t'Rei'nak, q'Reth, Findley, Umali, tr'Kyrmyra. Umali was stuffed into solitary confinement, is conscious but acting... in a peculiar way. The Golem was taken by the scientists for... studying. She is awake and alert. The civilian was taken and possibly operated on as well. q'Reth has electrocution burns, and is currently awake but catatonic, so please thread with caution. The rest have been doing okay, physically." Snake's heavy gaze lingered on the people around him: "All of them have been stuck in these cells without any communication or reference of time. So while some of them have skidded by and got lucky with injuries, all of them are tense and acting irrationally in some cases. I've been a witness to that myself. That's why I encourage you to separate into smaller teams per level, and my colleagues who these people know don't mean harm to them, will be there to guide you in." (edited)

It was everything he could do not to press further, demand the poor man tell them exactly what happened, rush out of the room and find him himself, damn it— but he remained still. Steady. His lip quivered just barely, fingers curling into a fist, but he remained still. Stupid, useless boy. Maybe if they'd both been hidden — he would've been fine with a write-up for insubordination if it meant none of this ever happened.. "Then we have to hurry up, don't we?" There was a note of urgency to his tone. "Let's make groups already, we have to —" Go, go, go. Make up for your stupid mistake.

Garcia visibly stared at the man with worry when he mentioned V’hgai on the first cell list. After he confirmed all the members were alive by now and that Tarsek was one of the least injured she sighed audibly. He was alrightish, and if they did their job correctly he and all the others would be rescued and cared for. She nodded at the rest of the information provided and at the ensign’s comment. “Alright, we need to coordinate this. Engineering came so we could help this run smoothly.” As much as it pained her not to run as fast as possible to cell 0-113, she had to be realistic. She then looked at Aoife. “We cant shut everything down as he said, but anything punctual that gives the groups more time? Thats plausible. What do you say, Commander? Anything crucial in your mind?”

Garcia brought Aoife out of her mind palace and back to the real world, right prison break she thought. Last time she had taken advantage of a riot, that wasn't going to happen here. She turned to Garcia, before leaning against a desk while idly checking her rifle for the millionth time. "Last time I broke out of jail I took advantage of a riot." 'Last time I broke out of jail' was an insane way to begin a conversation but Aoife said it with a totally straight face as if it was another day in the office. "If I had more prep time before leaving? Id want control of internal sensors, send life signs all over the place so they guards go on wild goose chases, failing that just shoot the sensor console till the systems dead and gone." She continued on running through prison break 101 in her head. "After that id want to break the transporters so they can't out manoeuvre us, then any kind of surveillance. The aim is maximum confusion. Everything goes wrong at once and by the time they realise it's a prison break you're already gone. " She paused. "Ideally." Though it was never ideal was it?

Garcia didn’t bat an eye at the background drop, instead she payed the utmost attention at every word from an analytic point of view. It made sense to confuse them as much as they could while the others got everyone out. “Massive distraction move, got it! First-hands experience is truly unmatched.” It was not a jab and an intel officer as Aoife would definitely know it was a genuine comment. For Garcia’s part, she smiled and thought of how crews seemed to never be that different after all. “We can start with the ghost attack. Maybe even along the perimeter, so they think it really comes from the outside and not the inside.” She proposed. “Shutting down transporters might not command much attention if we can make it seem like an internal error, surveillance though probably will. Specially if they already have their eyes in a target, even a ghost one. They will be on high alert.”

"Do we not think that a simulated attack will call unwanted attention to our mission? Usually, speed and inconspicuousness are more valuable than a distraction. Simulating an attack on the prison is... neither of those things." Ev'kor was thinking out loud, which... why was a medical officer commenting on tactical decisions? Because he had the experience, was why, but nobody needed to know that. "I volunteer to go down to the lowest level. I have medical supplies I can share with Doctor Henley, so she can continue her work on Lieutenant Lareth." Nobody needed to know that his motivations for wanting to go down there were purely selfish. He was doing an altruistic thing by going down into the belly of the beast.

Vesta listened to the briefing, and man was that a weird way for her to follow a conversation. Still, she was managing, still not speaking of course, but managing. She wasn’t an engineer, so she supposed that she would be with a team that makes contact with prisoners, her colleagues. The rundown of everything they had been through made Vesta frown deeply, she had recovered fully from her experience on the Borg cube, but there was a nagging feeling that she shouldn’t have needed to recover. After all it was just a few days in a hot humid building, and she hadn’t even been hurt. The people here had been tortured. She pulled at the skin of her knuckles as she waited for her orders. There was something wrong with her, feeling bad for feeling bad about her own experiences. These people needed help, and she was going to get it to them.

Oh. No one had been spared, it seemed. It was all so visceral, so disgusting. She was thankful that her ability to cry had been preemptively turned off, or else she thought she might have started to now. “I think we should try to target their docking zones, except where we came in from, and their shuttlebays, locking them and keeping them from sending a lot of ships out to chase us could buy us time.” She suggested- she’d never tried to break anyone out of prison before, but hey- there was a first for everything. Electrocuted… fucking hell. Her friend was going to be in a very bad way, wasn’t he? She knew him a bit more than anyone else here probably did, she’d probably be the best one to help him. And, of course, she also wanted to help everyone else she knew in that cell- and everyone in general, she didn’t discriminate, but she just dearly missed her bestie and wanted to be where he was. “I volunteer to go to the second-lowest level.” She said, not having any reasoning to give that wasn’t selfish.

”To be fair… there is little we can tamper with that wont raise suspicion. The perimeter thing I suggested for maybe drawing away part of their agents, but you are right, cross that.” Garcia agreed with the doctor. Anyone’s opinion was welcome. “But I still don’t think that we will have time for medical treatments… if he is in bad shape we should get him out as fast as possible like the others because when they realize we are pulling people out we will have to fight our way out. What we can do after tampering with their transporters so they don’t fight back on that end…” And she seemed to light up at the option. “Is try to coordinate the transports with the sensors. Whenever we transport a group of prisoners out, we can mask the lack of signals and loop the cameras, make it seem as if there are still people inside the cells. Now that could buy us time.” (edited)

"As for the weaponry... all carry standard-issue disruptors. If you lock the weapon panels, then they won't have access to rifles and a variety of stun grenades," that was Maiek's short reply to the question about weaponry, because the GM definitely didn't forget. He stuck the cig back into it's box. "I do like the idea with transport-sensor coordination and camera looping. A few engineers can stay here and do just that, while everyone else is getting to the cells. Also, worry about your own people - there are 20 more prisoners here, but those will be taken care of by the rest of us." (edited)

"I can loop the cameras... I may need to gain access to the security hub... Generally it should give me access to station wide internal security." Sinau proposed, while yes she could probably bound through the systems from here; it'd take a while with more walls needing to be dismembered, and it would like coax more attention from the agents. It's been a while since she's done this kind of thing. The woman usually fixed mismanaged terminals, PADDs or Cephalons, not facilitate and enforce a prison riot slash escape. Though getting into the system was only really half of the battle they had jostled in front of them. "What concerns me is the exit strategy... if we leave on the Warbird we arrived in; it's possible that they will... take... us out before we exit the atmosphere." The idea of being blasted out of the sky and being incinerated made Sinau fucking terrified. Why wouldn't it though? Sure they'd likely fire a stun, but all the same they'd still crash, and some of the people in this very room may die. "We can't bring any other ship too close. It-it might befall a similar fate. We will need access to their defense systems as a back up plan." The Romulan explained hurriedly, she had an idea in mind, but to say that she did not want to do it was an understatement. In part because there was twenty other souls that they may have to abandon here. "Will anybody be able to help me with the systems?" She added last, peering around at the other engineers and science division.

He'd been stuck on the words 'stabilised', said so hesitantly, as though that was the most optimistic way this man could have put it. A kindness, perhaps, to decline them the details, knowing it would distract them further, but all it did was make him imagine all the conditions one might need to be stabilised from. Perhaps he should be optimistic, but how? Hope Saren simply caught a bad case of hypothermia and wasn't tortured to near-death? Would that be better? He grit his teeth. It was getting hard to stabilise himself. "Is there some way we could make it look like our ship is leaving with us in it, but actually we're in another ship of theirs?" He asked. It was sort of a 'look! over there! the prisoners are escaping!' and then running away while they're distracted sort of move. He was unsure if that would work with their sensors, though.

"I was thinking of reseting their defense systems... fully reseting them, and leaving an infection of some kind up to delay them." Sinau compiled, it was one of the ideas she had, the other was completely overload the anti-air phasers while they were forced to bore it into the soil of the planet. Probably not the greatest plan B though considering the catastrophe that would ensue that escapade. "I believe they did something similar to us when they had taken our people. Right?" The last few days have been a foggy mess and the woman had been jumping between stations trying to keep everything alright in the background. "We will have to delta fast though." Sinau finalized her proposed idea. It was scrapy, she wasn't a tactician or anything, just some nerdy desk jockey, pencil-pusher. ... She was surprised to hear Garcia's enthusiasm though in joining her. It made sense in all honesty, the two were both meant for backyard work, and keeping everything in condition was backyard work... plus doing everything alone and the idea of taking out and destabilizing a high security prison would, put simply, scare a fucking train wreck of an anxiety attack into her. So having another soul to keep the leaves she missed raked up would be pleasant.

"Alright. Turn right, and you will meet our operative in the corridor, then," he gestured the saboteurs to the door, meanwhile using his other hand to call the second-floors to himself: "First cell, you turn to the left and go until you meet another one of ours. They use sign language. Do not engage with anyone else. Second cell, you follow me. Third cell, you follow us but go lower. There you will meet our last operative and... uh, well, fair warning, they're not in a good mood. Everyone got it?"

Four nodded. Settling off to the left and waiting for everyone in their group to gather around. "Understood." Four did one last check. Not wanting to have anything go wrong at the last moment because the various grip settings in their hands had been imprecise.

"Aye, we'll look for groucho," Amber said, hand slipping under her Tal Shiar styled vest to grab a hold of her phaser, stopping short of pulling it free into the humid air. Perhaps she'd ask for one of those hypos too later, just in case. And off she went into the corridor to make sure it was, for the moment, clear of fascists.

Zhi'rev was steeled and ready to go to the first cell, phaser hidden in his coat for the time when it was needed. He had made sure it was easily accessible, after all, one did not know when it might be needed.

Without further ado, one after another with small time intervals, the teams left the warden quarters - team one leaving for #prison-corridor on the first level, where they were supposed to meet their operative, team two followed Maiek to the second-level #prison-corridor , and team three would have to descend into pits of cold hell to reach their #prison-corridor ...
